George Fitzgerald – The Ladder

"The Ladder" is an emotive, rolling house track, shaped by FitzGerald’s trademark analogue production and drawing on melodic dance music of the early 2000s. George says: “I’m a child of that era, and this track echoes many of the proggy sounds I love from that period. There’s an arc to it: it builds slowly to an emotional high and doesn’t immediately show you its hand. Those are qualities I love in that music, and they’re what I wanted to capture with The Ladder.” The track began during a session with electronic musician and producer Ghost Culture near Glastonbury, before being completed by FitzGerald at his studio in south-east London.
