After their debut EP (“That Never Happened”) last April, which unveiled a band with an immediately refined and singular aesthetic, Lone Assembly are back with a new single, “Keep This Flame”. A poppy new-wave banger, the track captures the despair of a love that has faded and become destructive, leaving the narrator to grapple with the consequences and haunting of what he once was. It is the progressive reflection of a feeling of claustrophobia, the sensation of being trapped in a cycle of pain and loss, where every attempt to rekindle a potential flame leads relentlessly to even deeper pain.
